Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving your digital offerings in a way that allows for your website to gain impressions and traffic from search engines like Google.

These impressions and traffic are attained from the search engines “for free” however the process of appearing more often, and in the right searches, can be a costly exercise as competition is fierce among brands.

The focus for SEO should not be about appearing in the most search results, rather brands should focus on appearing in contextually relevant and obtainable search results.

Why is Search Engine Optimisation important?

Some brands will routinely receive more than half of their traffic from Organic search engine results. Having an ongoing optimisation strategy to improve the volume and quality of this traffic is a must.
